We hired DJ Mariko from Stylus for our wedding at Callicoon Hills on 5/10/25, and it could not have been better. We are an introverted, anxious couple, and we were worried that it would be entirely on us to get the energy up so that people would dance. But from the moment the dance floor opened to the very last song, it was PACKED. The transition to a new song that was even better than the last really made it hard to leave the dance floor, and everyone kept telling us how great the music was. Literally everyone we spoke to told us that our DJ was the best they’d ever seen at a wedding. We also skipped all the traditional things (grand entrances/first dance/cake cutting, etc), and she was totally on board with our vision of basically throwing a rager without the traditional interruptions. Because of this, we were worried that everyone would get tired after a while with so much extra time for dancing, but that wasn’t a problem at all. Nobody wanted to stop dancing, and the energy lasted long after the reception ended and we headed to our after party. She also handled the music and audio for our ceremony, which was in the woods on a windy day alongside a very loud and roaring creek after five days straight of rainfall. We were very concerned that nobody would be able to hear our vows above all the noise, but Mariko’s sound equipment and microphone made it easy for all 140 of our guests to hear us perfectly. We loved working with Mariko.
