“Jane Elizabeth is a fantastic DJ! She has great sensibilities (loved talking to her about Scott Walker and Italo Disco) , is easy to work with, and works to extend and enhance your ideas. Easily one of the best decisions we made!

“Jane DJ’d our wedding at the Queens County Farm Museum back in May, and having her do so was easily one of the best decisions we made! Jane is extremely professional and easy to work with, has fantastic and diverse taste in music, and created an amazing set that kept us and our guests dancing the entire night. Jane worked closely with us when we were picking our must-plays, and on the night of, did a fantastic job interspersing them with songs that fit in with the tone perfectly, and also making sure that the music we wanted to hear came before any guest requests, and that anything that was requested was something we wanted to hear too. We got more compliments on the music than any other element of our wedding, and we find ourselves listening to the playlist regularly (which Jane sent our way after the event!). Jane is a real expert, and I can’t recommend her highly enough! Thanks Jane!” -Katie & Paul -The Knot

Everyone loved Jane!

“My partner and I got married this past August and Jane Elizabeth of Stylus DJ Entertainment was our DJ. Everyone loved Jane! Everyone thought the music was amazing. My partner and I had been looking for a female DJ for our wedding and the second we saw Jane’s website we knew she would be the perfect fit. She assured us that we could have all the music we liked and still make sure everyone was happy. She paid special attention to the demographics of our guest list and the songs/artists we most wanted to hear. It was super helpful to hear the playlists of previous events that Jane had done from her Spotify. Most importantly, it felt like Jane really understood who we are and the musical vibe we wanted for our wedding. We would definitely recommend Stylus DJ Entertainment and will definitely be going to all of Jane’s New York City events! *Queer friendly vendor*” -Katie & Dani —Wedding Wire and The Knot

“Stylus came recommended through my sister in law. My wife and I couldn’t have been happier working with Jane. She made the process smooth and easy. Everything we asked for she was able to accommodate without a problem. Almost all of our guests complimented us on the music and for that we owe Jane a big THANK YOU!” -April & Nick —Wedding Wire and The Knot

“Just to start off, there are not going to be words adequate enough to describe how awesome Jane from Stylus DJ Entertainment is. Seriously, she is the best. Amazing to work with and I am so happy we were able to have her as the DJ for our wedding. Before planning a wedding was even on my radar, I had gone to Jane’s Tainted Love dance night at the Bell House in Brooklyn a few times and loved it! Really cool 80s night, with a wide range of music from the decade. I was so excited when I saw that she did weddings as well! I loved how eclectic her playlists were on Spotify and thought she would be a perfect fit for our half Indian/half Cuban, very large buffet wedding. She got the vibe perfectly right, and had everyone dancing the whole night, even our grandmothers who both had not danced since they were kids! She even posted the playlist for us after the wedding and we cannot stop listening to it! Also, she is so sweet and so easy to talk, and she just made the whole experience amazing (even when we had to make last minute changes because of the weather). I really cannot recommend her enough. We love you, Jane!” -Daniella & Nishan —Wedding Wire and The Knot

Tainted Love 80s Dance Party w/DJ Jane Elizabeth – 9/21/2018

20180921-TL

Soft Cell’s pioneering 1981 cover of the Northern Soul classic, “Tainted Love,” is the inspiration for this awesome 80s dance party. Building on a solid foundation of New Wave, we’ll dig deeper into the catalog of massive hits and overlooked misses from the late 70s through the early 90s – pivotal years in musical history that blurred the lines between Analog and Digital, Disco and Synthpop, Funk and Hip-Hop. A time when Alternative was called Post-Punk, Indie actually meant independent, and Throbbing Gristle’s “Hot on the Heels of Love” surely could have been alongside Blondie’s “Heart of Glass” on the charts…with today’s perspective. Other passions include CBGB-era New York, Batcave-era London – Punk Rock, Glam Rock, Kraut Rock, Girl Rock, Dad Rock, Rockabilly, Ska, Machine Soul, Blue-Eyed Soul, Darkwave, Coldwave – plus some guilty pleasures in the (strictly) Old-School Rap department.

Hosted by DJ Jane Elizabeth (Stylus NYC, Breakfast Club Philly 2010-2015).

Our favorite thing was she really listened

“We were so lucky to have DJ Jane for our wedding. She was fun and our guests had a blast. Our favorite thing was she really listened to what we wanted out of our night. Couldn’t be more happy. Plus she rolled with our weird requests and led our wedding through an East Coast vs West Coast dance-off.” -Dana & Sonya –Wedding Wire and The Knot

Just what my husband and I were looking for!!!!

“Jane was just what my husband and I were looking for!!!! We needed someone to mix up some new wave and some 90s hip hop with 80’s and 90’s dance jams with a dash of punk, lol its definitely quite the mix! To say the least she nailed it and we couldn’t have been happier!! Highly recommend her to anyone who doesn’t want the average playlist for the wedding day or any party for that matter. Thanks for making our special day “us” while still having something for all the guest to get down on the dancefloor too” -Carolyn & Sean -Google

“Jane Elizabeth did a great job on the music for our wedding. We didn’t have a strong musical vision so did not give her a lot of guidance and she created a fun vibe and read the crowd very well. Throughout the planning process she was responsive and helpful. Would definitely recommend booking her for your wedding.” -Bridget & Emily –Wedding Wire and The Knot
