Location 215 presents Creative Weddings during COVID: AN EXHIBITION OF INSPIRATION AND INNOVATION FOR CELEBRATING THE CREATIVE COUPLE
Creative Weddings during COVID is a social distance, speed dating themed exhibition featuring the work of a curated group of all female led businesses to showcase the art of creativity and how we can celebrate today’s couples through safe, unique, and elevated experiences.
Created by Jen Blauvelt, Owner of Location 215 and Michelle Mazer, Vice President of Eventsful, Inc., the concept came from a desire to support other female owned businesses during a time when the event industry was forced to reimagine as a result of the pandemic.
On Saturday, September 12th from 12:00pm -5:00pm, we will unite over fifteen female thought leaders in Philadelphia to exhibit the innovative and creative ways they have adapted their business for micro gatherings and social distanced events.

Food and drink will be available for purchase.
Temperature checks upon entry, masks, social distancing and all necessary COVID-19 CDC city and state precautions will be required to participate in the event for guests and vendors.

“Stylus, and our DJ Amber Lynn, were the perfect fit for our wedding. My husband and I are huge music lovers with very specific tastes, and we wanted our wedding to be a big, fun dance party. Once we found the female-owned Stylus, we knew they could make our party happen! (Amber DJed new wave/Bowie dance nights in Philly; our cat is named Bowie . . . it was a natural fit.) Our wedding was absolutely perfect. Amber was able to set up a microphone and speaker for our officiant and for reception speeches, play all our favorites and accommodate requests during cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing, and then give us our final playlist so we could relive everything. Amber and Stylus were friendly, professional, and super easy to work with. Seriously the best!” -Alison & Alex –Wedding Wire and The Knot

“A great DJ was one of our main priorities when planning our wedding. We found Stylus and were excited about the prospect of a female DJ and greatly appreciated their transparent pricing. Jane was kind and responsive and connected us to DJ Karin who was awesome! Fast forward to the COVID times and we were heartbroken to have to cancel the wedding we had been planning for over a year. Luckily, Jane was incredibly understanding and flexible (unlike some of our other vendors!). If it ever feels safe to begin planning again, we plan to reach right back out to Stylus!” – Laina & Robert —The Knot
We hired Karin for our our wedding in January and she was the best! We really wanted a DJ that was not corny or too flashy and Karin was our perfect match. Karin worked with us leading up the wedding to determine the tone and style of music in every part of the wedding. On the day of, there were no technological glitches, no awkward pauses, and just constant GREAT music all night long. Our guests raved about the music and stayed on the dance floor all night. She was great at reading the room and I can honestly say she was one of the best parts of our wedding.” – Emily & Harrison —The Knot
Venue: Metropolitan Building – Long Island City, NY
“She provided seamless amplification during the wedding ceremony, happy and appropriately volumed background music during the cocktail ceremony, and we ended up having a REALLY fun dance party at the end of our daytime reception. Amber Lynn guided the proceedings gently and was very patient when some of our guests bombarded her with their musical suggestions. In the end, Amber Lynn delivered exactly what we wanted and did so with grace and good humor. Thanks for helping to make our wedding celebration smooth and fun! And thanks, too, for sharing the final Spotify playlist with us– it’s a pleasure to listen again to the cocktail hour and reception music!” -Kate & Erol –The Knot

“I am so, so happy I contacted Stylus and was matched with the extremely excellent and just DEEPLY cool DJ June! From the first call we knew that having a packed dance floor, a smoothly-run night, and a great vibe would be no problem at all. We like quite a variety of music and DJ June seamlessly transitioned between the 80s rock and Mr. Brightside to our slightly strange choice of a deep-cut Irish folk song we insisted on having in there. She was funny, but relaxed, and just let the night move along beautifully. She also ran the music for our ceremony perfectly and we had so many people compliment us on our music. I am so, so happy and feel we made the perfect choice. Thank you, June and Stylus!!!” -Jennifer & Justin – Wedding Wire and The Knot

“Karin was awesome!! She made our wedding (which was definitely one of the last ones before the quarantine) amazing! We got married at dumbo loft and she was punctual and there an hour before the event. I got to meet her and she set up and did great in verbally escorting guests and guiding them throughout the entire ceremony and reception. I truly believe they kept it exactly how I wanted. Classy with great music and no cheese hype man. She knew my family was Colombian and even included some classic traditional songs that I never even mentioned! Definitely got the party started. It’s woman owned woman run business and I love it !” – Jennifer & Justin —Wedding Wire and The Knot

“(Thanks to DJ KARIN & Stylus)
We were originally referred to Stylus DJ Entertainment from a friend who had had a great experience at their own wedding. Once we took a look at their diverse roster, and listened to the portfolio of mixes, we were pumped to find DJ Karin. We are big record collectors who enjoy an array of genres across multiple decades and we knew right away that Karin, who hosts her own radio show that plays 50s-’60s r&b/garage/soul/girl group records, would get us.
And wow did she exceeded our expectations! After we gave her a pretty extensive “taste profile,” Karin created a killer setlist that kept people entertained throughout the entire night. From cocktail hour to the last dance, people were moving, grooving, and excited by each new track. Karin totally nailed it, above and beyond!
Karin was also extremely flexible when it came to the style of mixing we were looking for. We love quick transitions and fun juxtapositions, and Karin was up for the challenge, creating an artistic yet crowd-pleasing set that kept everyone out of their seats and on the dance floor.
She is warm, professional, and very level headed. Her positive energy and calm vibe were more than we could ask for. She listens to your needs, while equally making informed suggestions along the way. At one point during our wedding, our schedule was thrown out of whack, but Karin never skipped a beat. Also, her MC-ing is spot on! She is completely in-tune with the experience and is tasteful in her choice of words and delivery.
Throughout the night and morning after, guests kept coming up to us complimenting the music & Karin’s style. The outpouring of praise for the music selection is a true testament to Karin’s skills.
Do yourself a favor and book DJ Karin from Stylus DJ Entertainment immediately!
She is a talented purveyor of music, and we have the utmost respect for her unwavering commitment to her artistry and equal attention to client satisfaction. Thank you Karin, from the bottom of our dancing souls!!” – David & Danyel —Wedding Wire and The Knot

“Jane DJed our wedding at the American Swedish Historical Museum and did an AWESOME job of mixing our eclectic taste in music. The music audible, but not too loud (greatly appreciated by our older guests!), and it felt like you went from one song you were excited to hear to another. Working with her to gather the songs/genres was also very easy, she was even able to source the non-Western songs we requested. It made my father-daughter dance that much more special.” -Yolanda & Atif -Google
