Stylus DJ Entertainment is the top-rated, predominantly female wedding DJ agency founded in 2013 by Jane Elizabeth. Our DJs are music lovers known for their low-key, non-flashy vibe and providing our clients with a highly customizable music program. 

We currently serve venues within about a 175-mile radius of New York and Philadelphia, and are looking for more amazing individuals to join our team.

Being a wedding DJ is a really challenging job – it can also be fun and rewarding for those who are well-suited for it. 

The ideal applicant should:

-Be at least 21 years old, with a valid driver’s license and access to reliable, cost-effective transportation

-Be able to provide a SSN or Tax ID for Form W-9 and work as an independent contractor

-Have solid DJ experience and at least some experience DJing weddings

-Have weekend availability

-Maintain a professional appearance and positive, client-focused attitude

-Be reliable, punctual, responsive, organized, efficient and detail-oriented

-Think on their feet and stay cool under pressure

-Have excellent written and verbal communication skills

-Be able to keep shared timelines and request lists up-to-date in Google docs

-Be proficient in basic laptop maintenance, DJ software and digital music management, Zoom/Skype meetings, recording mixes, etc.

-Own and maintain professional, reliable DJ equipment, including everything in the Basic Package:

-Have the financial stability to rent or buy additional speakers and backup gear as needed

-Have the physical ability to transport, load in, set up, breakdown, and load out all necessary gear themselves

-Be comfortable making basic announcements such as introductions, dances, speeches, cake cutting, etc.

-Be willing to purchase and maintain a liability insurance policy (about $225/year)

It would be nice, but not required, if you:

-Are female

-Are based in NYC

-Identify as LGBTQ+

-Are multilingual (Spanish, Chinese, Russian)

-Own lighting

-Have a regular club night or radio show

-Are a musician or have event planning experience

-Have other relevant experience working (and thriving) under pressure – project management, service industry, retail, teaching, etc.

-Have experience with livestreaming or virtual events
